5 Essential Acne Tips

Acne Tips & Info

Everyone has their own acne tips to offer but, some of them are just useless and although they may seem to make sense, they end up being flawed in some way or another.  We’re going to provide you with a 5 essential acne tips that are bound to help you prevent acne and control it as well.

Wash your face.

Keeping your face clean will be essential as it will help keep off extra dirt and grime. Washing away extra oil on your skin will prevent it from clogging your pores and allowing acne to form. In addition, washing your face will wash away any extra dead skin cells that take part in clogging pores as well. Best of all, it will leave you feeling refreshed.

Don’t touch your face

As hard as it may be to track when you do this, it is essential that you take the time and attention to notice when you touch your face and the places you most frequently touch.  If you have a good idea of where on your face you tend to rub on your face, you can predict where acne might form and you’ll be able to pre-treat the area.  This may be one of the hardest acne tips to follow, but you’ll get it under control in due time.

Don’t pick at your acne

Picking at your acne will cause scarring. It’s as simple as that. Let your acne surface and disappear all by its self. Use any medication necessary to get it to go away but remember not to pick at it because it will cause scarring in the long run. The last thing you want after you clear up your acne is scars to help you remember the pain from the past.  If there’s one of these acne tips that you really should follow, it’s this one.

Pick out an acne product that you’re comfortable with

One challenge that may surface on your acne free journey is finding an acne product that fits your skin. Although the main acne fighting ingredient in many acne products is Benzoyl Peroxide, extra ingredients that are placed into the mixture may not work well with your skin. If anything is causing irritation, stop using it and try something new.

Keep Some Salicylic Acid Pads With you

If you work in an environment where you tend to sweat a bit, it’s a good idea to keep some salicylic acid pads with you so that you can disinfect your face every now and then. This is a great idea especially if you work in retail or in an office because of all the many things you’ll touch with your hands throughout the day.
